The Celtics announced that they have officially signed center Neemias Queta to a two-way contract. Queta signed a one-year, partially guaranteed contract with the Kings in early August, but was waived on September 13. Philippine basketball reporter Navin Ganglani reported that sources said the Philippine national team is interested in naturalizing Hawks player Onyeka Okongwu. Last season, Okongwu played 80 games for the Hawks, starting 18 of them, and averaged 9.9 points, 7.2 rebounds, 1 assist, and 1.3 blocks per game on 63.8 percent shooting.

Matt Moore of Action Network said on the Locked On NBA podcast that the Raptors are interested in Lillard. He said: "This is something that no one really talks about, but everyone in the league knows that the Raptors are one of the teams (interested in Lillard)."
